Rice Too Soft or Too Hard

If the rice is too soft, it may be due to adding too much water or cooking for too long. Next time, reduce the amount of water and strictly control the cooking time. If the rice is too hard, it may be due to adding too little water. Add more water and let it sit for a while after cooking to allow the rice to fully absorb the water.

Seaweed Softens and Loses Crispness

Seaweed softens mainly because it has come into contact with too much moisture. During the preparation process, keep your hands and tools as dry as possible and avoid contact between the seaweed and a damp environment. If the seaweed has already softened, you can bake it in the oven at a low temperature for a few minutes to restore its crispness.

Sushi Rolls Are Loose and Easily Fall Apart

This may be due to uneven force during rolling or too much filling. When rolling, start from one end and gradually roll evenly, controlling the amount of filling so as not to exceed the carrying capacity of the seaweed and rice. If the sushi roll has already fallen apart, you can re-wrap it with seaweed strips or plastic wrap to secure it.
